Pen Company Visits

Over the years I have been fortunate to meet with the owners of some of the leading pen companies and visit their design and production centres.

Pen Companies

 

  • Ancora - of Italy - noted to be one of its first pen companies.
  • Aurora - Italian pen company dating back to 1919. I had the pleasure of visiting with Aurora when in Turin.
  • Bexley - an American pen company, with pens inspired by the classics of previous era. New ownership and the company's web site does not seem to open.
  • Caran D'Ache - Swiss company, produced the world's first mechanical pencil.
  • Cartier - French company dating back to 1847. Many years ago I visited the main Cartier store in Paris to purchase one of my first pens in Europe.
  • Columbus - Italian company.
  • Conklin Pen - American pen company.
  • Conway Stewart - First established in 1905, reborn in the 1990s.
  • A.T. Cross - American company, however now, all its pens are made at other locations.
  • Curtis Australia - Australian pen company.
  • David Oscarson - American company, stunning pens designed by David Oscarson.
  • Delta - the Delta brand was revived in 1922 under the guidance of Nino Marino.
  • Diplomat - German pen company founded in 1922.
  • Alfred Dunhill - company dates back to 1893. Dunhill is know for its pens and other lines of accessories.
  • S.T. Dupont - French pen company dating back to 1872.
  • Krone - American pen company, pens produced in Italy and Germany.
  • Laban - Pen company located in Taiwan.
  • Lalex - Company founded in Naples, Italy.
  • Lambrou - Born from Classic Pen, Andreas Lambrou.
  • Lamy - Germany pen company.
  • LeBoeuf - Original company dates to 1921, re-established in 1995.
  • Leonardo Officiana Italiana - Italian pen company located outside of Naples Italy. Created the well know Momento Zero as well as other lines.
  • Maiora - Naples based company founded in 2018.
  • Marlen - Italian pen company.
  • MacKinnon - English pen company.
  • Montblanc - Germany pen company.
  • Montegrappa - Long standing Italian pen company and I had the opportunity to visit with Montegrappa.
  • OMAS - Italian Pen company with a rich history and lines of pens. Unfortunately now closed. I visited with OMAS.
  • Onoto - Pen company from the UK.
  • Parker - One of the grand American pen companies.
  • Pelikan - iconic German pen company.
  • Platignum - First founded in 1919, closed in 1998. Re-established in 2007.
  • Radius 1934 - this company produced pens in the 1930s/40s and now the brand is reborn.
  • Recife - French pen company.
  • Rotring - German pen company.
  • Taccia - American pen company.
  • Think - Made by Krone Pens of the US.
  • Tibaldi - Italian pen company.
  • Tombow - Located in Japan.
  • Visconti - Italian pen company located near Florence. Visit with the company.
  • Waterford - American pen company
  • Waterman - Originally American, it is the French company that has survived. Waterman has its factory in Nantes, France. Visit with the company.
